20 years of Industrial Product DesignTwenty years ago, the Industrial Product Design program was born within Howest. Meanwhile, almost 1000 creative designers have stepped outside our habitat the Industrial Design Center in Kortrijk with their diploma and a nice portfolio. "In those twenty years, the world has changed very much, also in the field of design and product design," explains programme coordinator Becky Verthé. "We will highlight that for an academic year. Not with an industrial history story, but through products that show what has changed in the last two decades."
Expo 'IPO INSIDE OUT' - Booth 587During this expo, a total of 25 products from companies where IPO alumni work are on display. The selection shows where IPO students end up, what they achieve and how widely employable they are in the industry. Becky Verthé: "We have almost a rack full of stuff for kids (Anex iQ, Trixie, KOMONO, AeroMoov). There are also supporting products from Niko, Almax, Aqtor, Surplace or Materialise. or Wienerberger. Of course, we also present interior design, from Arend, Delta Light, Durlet and Verilin. And finally, in the craft segment, we will find products from Houtbuigerij Desmet, bastalpe and Verilin."
